RUSSIAN GILDED SILVER, ENAMEL SET 6 COCKTAIL
Vintage set of 6 gilt silver and enamelled cocktail forks. Made in Russia / USSR mid 20th century. <P><P> Each fork is approx 3 5/8 inches long. <P><P> Russian silver of the 84 standard with gilt wash. Forks with a widely set apart pair of tynes and a little triangle between them. Handle widens as it appreaches the terminal, which is rounded. The surface has a delicate border of raised silver and the same filigree effect around cells of enamel in geometric patterns, coloured in bright blues, reds and greens. Distinctly Russian design. <P><P> Each fork is hallmarked on the back with 84 standard mark used mid 20th century. Another hallmark with Cyrillic lettering. <P><P> Very good condition. No enamel loss/restoration.

Just under 8 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver 6 fish/salad forks. 6 3/4 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver 6 entre forks. 6 7/8 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver 6 desert/soup spoons. 7 1/8 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver 6 teaspoons. 5 1/4 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver 2 gravy/vegetable serving spoons. 5 1/4 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver Pair of large servers - spoon 9 inches in length & fork 8 3/4 inches in length. <br> Sterling silver 1 very large fish/cake/pie server. 11 3/4 inches in length, weighs about 150 grams. <br> 6 entre knives. 8 inches in length. These knives are stainless steel and not sterling silver and offered only to complement the set.<P><P> Classic Art Deco understated elegance. Tapering handles on classic forms, end in delicate Deco terminals. Definately a case of 'less is more' - these pieces will
match anything. They are heavy and very solid silver - quality through and through. <P><P> Each piece is hallmarked on the back with the maker's initials, the date mark for 1931, lion passant for sterling, crown for Sheffield. The stainless steel entre
knives are not strictly speaking part of this set. Some are made by Viners Ltd, Sheffield, England and others by John McClory & Sons, also Sheffield, England.<P><P> All pieces are in extremely good condition. It is likely that the set was never used.

VICTORIAN ST SILVER BUTTER DISH LONDON 1838 C
Antique Victorian sterling silver butter dish with original glass bowl insert. Made London, England by Chas Fox, 1838. <P><P> Consists of 4 parts: an underplate; a silver bowl; glass bowl insert; silver lid. <P><P> Underplate is approx 8 1/2 inches in diameter. 5 1/2 inches high (total). Total weight, excluding the glass bowl is 675grams. <P><P> Outstanding quality silver openwork. Almost entirely consisting of scrolling openwork with foliage borders. Undulating, generous borders of underplate reflecting on the same round bowl and lid - all the curves add to the richness and beauty of the design. The ultimate is the finial on the lid - a very solid poppy emerging from a lavish foliage cap. Wonderful detail and superb workmanship and aesthetic appeal. <P><P> Hallmarked on each part: Victoria's head, leopard for London, lion passant for sterling silver, date for 1838 and maker's mark CF for Chas. Fox. <P><P> All parts are in very good condition.

ANTIQUE ST SILVER TRAY GORHAM WEIGHS 12lbs
From an extremely prestigious estate: William Nelson Camp, owner of Florida Power, vast real estate and phosphate mines and good friend of the richest of the rich and powerful. <P><P> Antique sterling silver tray made by the Gorham Corporation, Rhode Island, 1913. <P><P> Measures over 2 foot long, excluding the handles, which add a number of inches on either side. Over 18 3/4 inches wide. Weighs 11 1/2 lbs. <P><P> Beautiful solid silver tray with gadrooned beaded borders. Engraved decoration on the shoulders - quiet elegance. Dolphin scroll handles with moulded foliage. A monogram in the center includes the letter C for the Camp family. <P><P> Engraved mark on the back has Gorham mark, 72A and a little clover, which denotes the year 1913.<P><P> Very good condition.

PR GEORG JENSEN SILVER ACANTHUS LEMON FORKS
Vintage pair of Georg Jensen sterling silver lemon / pastry forks. Made in Denmark post 1945. <P><P> Each fork is almost 4 3/4 inches long. Weigh 33grams together. <P><P> Slender, elegant form with a pair of claw-like tynes to pierce and twist a lemon. It has also been suggested that the forks were used for pastry. You decide. Tapering handles with a scrolling, beaded pattern where it joins the tynes. THe handle is ridged in the center and slopes slightly downwards towards each side, adding to the elegant appearance of the fork. The terminal is like the capitol of a Greek columne with scrolling acanthus and a bud in the center. Very subtle, sophisticated design and highly attractive, useful items.<P><P> Each fork is hallmarked with Georg Jensen hallmark - oval of indented dots with engraved Georg Jensen in the middle and STERLING DENMARK under it. One of the forks has a pair of Swedish import marks as well. <P><P> Very good condition.

ANTIQUE ENGRAVED ST SILVER TRAY BY GORHAM
Elegant sterling silver tray - could be used for candlesticks, cards, dishes. Made by Gorham and retailed by Bigelow Kennard & Co.in the late 19th century. (Bigelow Kennard & Co. were jewelers in Boston which indicates the luxurious quality of this tray). <P><P> From the prestigious estate of Mrs Mary Timmins, well-known collector and authority on antiques, who lectured on the subject in the 1940's, this was one of the pieces she used in her talk on Women in Colonial Days. <P><P> Measurements:10 3/4 inches long; 6 1/2 inches at widest points. Weighs 270 grams. <P><P> Beautiful rectangular tray with curved and rounded edges. Rolled, raised rims. The shoulders, arching up and out are profusely engraved with a scroll and foliate design. Each rounded corner has a gryphon - monster head with forked tongue. Exquisite! <P><P> Back has engraved Gorham Sterling mark and number B2461. Lightly engraved above that is the name Bigelow Kennard & Co. A personal sticker with the name of Mrs Edward A. Timmins and her address in New York refers to Mrs Mary Timmins, the previous famous owner (see above). <P><P> Very good condition - front is like a mirror. No dings/dents/damage of any sort.

Antique Georgian sterling silver flatware - 6 large spoons, 5 large (dinner) forks, 6 luncheon forks - 17 pieces total. Made London, England, 1777 - 1812-3. <P><P> From an extremely prestigious estate: William Nelson Camp, owner of Florida Power, vast real estate and phosphate mines and good friend of the richest of the rich and powerful. <P><P> Quite magnificent bright cut in the best Classic Georgian style. Exquisite detail. Each piece has an oval reserve with engraved A over HM monogram. Highly elegant shapes with little rat-tail on the backs. <P><P> Length of dinner fork: 7 3/4 inches.<br> Length of lunch fork: 6 7/8 inches.<br> Length of spoon: a little over 7 inches.<br> Weight approx 905grams.<P><P> Fully hallmarked on the back of each utensil: lion passant for sterling; Leopard head crowned for London; date letter - b, o, L, K, R. Maker's marks: some are worn, and some very clear: WE over WF for William Eley & Wm Fearn. Also script style TW for Thomas Wallace. <P><P> Very good condition.

VINTAGE SET 6 SILVER BUTTER KNIVES FITTED BOX
Antique / Vintage set of 6 sterling .925 silver handled butter knives in their original, fitted box. Made in Sheffield, England 1938. <P><P> Each knife is 6 1/2 inches long.<P><P> Good looking set of butterknives with somewhat voluptiously rounded, wide blades to facilitate spreading. Handles are made of sterling silver with a delicate repousse floral pattern with raised Snowbells / Forget-Me-Nots at both ends and ridged sides that add to the elegant look. Blades are marked EPNS. Handles are hallmarked on both front and back: maker's mark WY; crown for the town of Sheffield, lion for sterling silver standard; date letter V. <P><P> The knives come in their original fitted box. Blue outside and with black velvet fitted bottom and pearly silk top on the inside. Closes firmly and opens easilly with a push of the button on the front. <P><P> Good condition.

ANTIQUE TIFFANY & CO PIERCED ST SILVER TONGS
Antique openwork sterling silver tongs. Made by TIffany & Co., in America, while Edward Moore was manager, 1873 - 1891.<P><P> From an extremely prestigious estate: William Nelson Camp, owner of Florida Power, vast real estate and phosphate mines and good friend of the richest of the rich and powerful. <P><P> Measurements: weighs 77 grams; 7 inches in length. <P><P> Bowls unusually, somewhat rectangular in shape. Small and big piercings with a central starburst flower and foliage radiating around it with scalloped holes around the border. Nice, solid-looking join (rattail) of sides to the arched back with CC (C for Camp) monogram engraved on one side. Design has a festive, slightly oriental feel to it. Some of Tiffany's best silver designs were created during the period when Edward Moore was manager of the company and this is a good example of great artistic merit combined with the best in craftmanship. <P><P> Signed TIFFANY & CO STERLING M inside one of the arms. <P><P> Very good condition. No damage of any sort.

TIFFANY & CO SILVER PLACE CARD HOLDERS SET 4
Set of 4 Tiffany & Co sterling silver butterfly shaped place card / menu holders. Made in USA circa 1930. <P><P> Measure 3/4 inch top to bottom and together, weigh approx 38 grams. <P><P> Beautifully formed butterflies made of two sides, attached in the middle. The bottoms arch outwards, enabling the butterflies to balance in an upright position. The entire outside surface is richly modelled with fine, fine detail - from the little eyes, imaginative pattern on the wings, to the scrolling antennae. The butterflies are not symmetrical front to back. They curve more on one side, which forms the opening to hold the card. <P><P> Each butterfly is engraved with TIFFANY & CO STERLING on the inside. <P><P> Very good condition with no damage/loss/restoration of any sort.

VINTAGE GEORG JENSEN SILVER LEAF BERRY SERVER
Vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver serving spoon in the rare Leaf & Blossom pattern, number 21. Made in Copenhagen, Denmark. From a vintage collection of
Georg Jensen silver. <P><P> Measures 5 1/4 inches long and weighs approx 32grams. <P><P> Bowl is clearly hand-hammered. Join to handle sculpted to look like a flower, with waisted handle echoing this theme. Arched handle with looping botantical
theme - a lusciously folded leaf with beautiful fine detail partially encloses budding blossoms. This is classic Georg Jensen understated elegance with top
quality execution. <P><P> Inscribed marks underneath: model number 21; Name Georg Jensen in an oval of indented dots; STERLING DENMARK and a rectangle that presumably contains the
designers initials. We believe this is the earlier mark used during the 1930's, not block stamped, but engraved a little less evenly than the similar mark
used post 1945. We are open to correction on this issue. <P><P> Very good condition.<P><P> Sold to us as Blossom pattern, but it looks like the more rare Leaf and Berry pattern.

GEORGIAN OPENWORK ST SILVER FISH SERVER W WEL
Georgian sterling silver fish server / slice. Made Exeter, England, 1821-2 by William Welch. <P><P> Measures a little over 11 1/2 inches long. Weighs 133grams. <P><P> Slightly scoop-shaped, in order to hold fish more securely and possibly to catch a bit of gravy. Classic scrolling, assymetrical serving shape with delicate engraved pattern on the edges, typical of the Georgian period. The center has an openwork decoration of a fish, with wonderful engraved detail to fins and scales. The handle forms one piece with the scoop/ladle, with additional support in a raised, pointed V on the top. Rat-tail back of handle. <P><P> Clearly hallmarked on the back:WW for maker William Welch; King's head; lion passant, Exeter Town mark and date letter 'e'. <P><P> Very good condition.

SILVER CRUET SET ON STAND OPEN SALTS, BLUE GL
Sterling silver cruet set on stand with original old blue glass liners. Made in Birmingham, England 1876-7. Maker SWS. <br> Stand is about 4 1/2 inches to the top of the handle. Silver weighs 76g / 2.7oz. <br> 3 open salt / condiment containers - usually for salt, pepper and the larger one for mustard. The two smaller ones are rounded octagons, while the largest, also 8 sided is more rectangular in shape. Sides are beautiful openwork suspended between flattened rope twist borders. Stands on a total of 4 round ball feet. Long pole ending in a triangular handle. THick blue glass liners to protect the silver. <br> Hallmarks on front of largest container lion, date letter b (1876-7), anchor for Birmingham and maker's mark SWS, which appears in Seymour Wyler's book on silver hallmarks, page 199. The lion and date letter are repeated on the handle. <br> Condition is good with no dings/dents/damage.

LONDON GEORGIAN ST SILVER TOAST RACK 1833 CHA
Antique English, Georgian Sterling silver 6-slice large toast rack made in London, England, by Chas Fox in 1833. <br><br> A little over 6 3/4inches long; approx 5 1/2inches high and weighs 163grams.<br><br> Rectangular base stands on 4 ball feet. Rounded corners with middle bar, on a smaller ball foot, for added support. 7 curved silver bars to hold 6 generous slices of toast (or waffles). In the center is a bar with a handle. The toaster is the epitomy of elegant simplicity and looks as wonderful today as it did almost 200 years ago.<br><br> Hallmarks underneath are very clear: Maker's mark CF for Chas Fox; lion passant, leopard head uncrowned, date letter S and monarch facing right.<br><br> Condition is very good.
