ANTIQUE GEORGIAN RING GOLD GARNETS DOUBLE HEA Antique Georgian sentimental and romantic ring. Gold and almandine garnets with hair and painted detail. Made 1700's to very early 19th century, probably in England. <P><P>
US size 6.5. Weighs 2.7grams. Length is approx 1/2 inch (13mm). <P><P>
Very simple, plain gold shank. THe bezel (top) is oval in shape with a border of finely set almandine garnets. Within is a highly romantic declaration of love: all the symbols of sentiment, a double bow above a double heart with the initials GM and LO seperated by 4 dots (the significance of which I don't know). The ring is still enclosed in it's original curved glass. The bow and heart as well as the straight parts of the letters are, amazingly made of golden hair. Some of the work may be painted - the dots and curves. <P><P>
Condition of the ring is very good.

TIFFANY SCHLUMBERGER 18K GOLD & ENAMEL RING Vintage, estate ring in 18carat gold and enamel. Made by TIffany & Co and designed by the great designer Shlumberger, circa 1950-60's. <P><P>
Approx US size 6 - 6 1/2. Weighs 7.5grams. <P><P>
The ring is very sophisticated and clever: it consists of a simple band, emerald green guilloche enamel covering most of the surface, bordered by a narrow border of gold on either side. At intervals of about 1cm, little gold loops, surround the ring. They are attached to the gold borders and quite seperate from the enamel. Thus the ring is enclosed in a pretty openwork cage of gold and empty space. A lovely 3-dimentional design. Looks wonderful on the fingers.<P><P>

ANTIQUE HEART RING SAPPHIRE RUBY DIAMOND GOLD Antique, Victorian double heart ring. 14k yellow gold set with a large ruby and sapphire and small rose cut diamonds. Made circa 1850. <P><P>
Approx US size 6 1/4. Weighs 4.3grams. Ruby and Sapphire are each about 4-5mm in length. <P><P>
Stunning example of classic, early Victorian jewellery. A pair of intertwined hearts under a bow knot. <br>
The ring is entirely outlined with a border of rose cut diamonds, which also constitute the bow above the hearts. (probably symbolising fidelity). The centers of the hearts are set with a pair of large gems, each with beautiful, deep colour. Simple pattern on shoulders of shank. <P><P>

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TRIPLE DIAMOND EMERALD RING Antique, Victorian diamond and emerald ring, set in 18k yellow gold. Made late 19th century - circa 1880 - 1900. <P><P>
Approx US size 7. Weighs 3 grams. Approx size of middle stone is 3mm.<P><P>
Classic Victorian style with top quality workmanship and great gemstones. The ring consists of a trio of stylised flowers in square form. Largest in the center, flanked by two slightly smaller. The center of each flower is composed of a gem quality emerald. Each emerald is surrounded by small, rose cut diamonds.
As is expected with Victorian jewellery, there are no hallmarks, but the gold tested for 18carats (using the best electronic tester).<P><P>

CIRCA 1680 RESTORATION GOLD MEMORIAL RING Antique Restoration era 18carat gold Memorial crystal skull ring, set with diamonds. Made circa 1680, during the reign of Charles II. <P><P>
US size 7.<P><P>
Very small ring. Rectangular bezel with canted corners. Collet set crystal under which is a gruesome skull. The closed, domed back has typical starburst crimping. The relatively simple hoop divides into 3 at the shoulders. On either side of the bezel, the central branch of the hoop is set with a pair of small diamonds.<br>
The smaller, side branches of the hoop have simple scrolling decoration.<P><P>
Condition is very good, especially considering the age of the ring.

ANTIQUE AMULET MAN'S RING W ENGRAVED GOOD LUC Antique ring serving as an amulet - a token against bad luck / to bring good luck to the wearer. Made of silver set with a large stone, which might be amber or carnelian. Very old - well over 100 years old, but not possible to date more exactly. Originates in India. <P><P>
Ring is large and can be worn by a man. It is a US size 11, measuring 1 inch accross at the widest part. <P><P>
Set in silver with simple filigree decoration around the pulled silver (collet) that holds the stone in place. The stone is engraved by hand. We don't know which is the right way up, so we showed it both ways. Clearly worn by previous generations, the ring is nevertheless in good condition.

VICTORIAN GOLD, LARGE AMETHYST & PEARL RING Antique, Victorian ring. 19th century. <P><P>
Weighs 5.9grams. Amethyst is approx 1/2 inch / 13mm accross. US size 5.5 - 5.75 <P><P>
Square in shape - highly reminiscent of the proportions of a typical Georgian ring. Deep purple natural amethyst, facet cut, surrounded by a border of small pearls

that show off the deep violet of the stone most admirably. The large size of the ring makes a definate statement, yet remains elegant and refined.<P><P>
The bezel is joined to the shank by a 3-pronged shoulder: on one side, the middle prong is missing and there is a tiny soldering mark where an attempt was made to

rectify it. (see 'photos). Since this part does not show, the ring loses nothing in beauty. <P><P>
Inside of the shank is hallmarked 15ct. <P><P>
Besides the missing prong on the shoulder, the ring is in good condition.

Hallmarked inside: engraved numerals 5 and 2; Cartier signature; 750 (for 18k gold) in a lozenge and another hallmark that is not easy to read but includes 1355.<P><P>

Band shaped ring with raised gold borders that fold over the enamel in the shape of engraved swags. The band is enamelled in black blocks, with gold letters spelling out IN MEMORY OF. Beautifully executed. <P><P>
Inside of the band is engraved SARAH COOPER< OB 12 APRIL 1865, AL77 (or is that 11?). <P><P>
Hallmarks include Maker JC; monarch's head (Queen Vicotria facing left); Crown; 18; leopard; and date letter, g. <P><P>

EDWARDIAN PLATINUM GOLD DIAMOND EMERALD RING Antique Edwardian / Belle Epoque platinum, 18carat gold, diamond and emerald ring. Made circa 1900 - 1905. <P><P>
Size 5.25 (US). Weighs a little over 4 grams. <P><P>
Exquisite design of tiny granulation and openwork, all set with old minecut diamonds and centered with an emerald, with lovely brilliance. The stones are set in 18k gold and the rest of the ring is platinum. The bezel is rounded so that it folds beautifully around the finger, leading to very finely engraved shoulders that resemble the outspread wings of a butterfly. <P><P>
Typical of Edwardian and Belle Epoque jewellery, the workmanship and design of this ring is very fine and delicate.<P><P>
The inside of the shank is hallmarked 18K PLAT. <P><P>
Condition: neither the naked eye, nor even regular magnification show any faults, but the vastly enlarged 'photos show a tiny restoration (see 'photos). Otherwise, good condition.

ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU OPAL RING SET IN GOLD & S Antique Victorian Art Nouveau ring. Opal set in silver and gold. Made circa 1890-1910. <P><P>
US size 8. Weighs approx 4 grams. Length of top of ring just under 1 inch. <P><P>
Classic Art Nouveau: an elegant, elongated ring set with an opal that glistens blues and greens, with a lot of fire and light. It is set in a silver mount, consisting of engraved flowers and foliage, joined by 3 tendrils on either side to the shank, which is 14k gold. The mount seems to wrap itself over the stone in a unique manner, without regular claws. (the top of the foliage instead of claws). <P><P>
Hallmarked 14K inside the shank. <P><P>
Condition appears good. Enlarged 'photos show some darkening on the inside of the shank, which could indicate later work, but we are not aware of any having been done.

TIFFANY & CO SCHLUMBERGER DIAMOND ENAMEL RING Vintage / estate 18carat yellow gold, enamel and diamond pave set X-ring. Made Tiffany & Co by their most illustrious French designer, Jean Schlumberger. <P><P>
US size 5. Weighs 8.5grams. <P><P>
Shank of ring in gleaming, custom Royal Blue enamel with cabochon finish, between a border of contrasting gold on either side. The top is a dome created by crossing, s-curves, forming an X, almost the signature symbol of Jean Schlumberger, set very tightly with 28 brilliant cut diamonds. A specialist graded them as VS1 to VS2 in colour and grade GHI. The pave setting is exceptional - even in the hugely magnified 'photos. <P><P>
This was very likely a custom made ring and the quality of workmanship and materials is exceptional. The ultimate in sheer luxury and elegance.<P><P>
