DECO ENAMEL FOB PENDANT WATCH W SOCCER PLAYER Antique, Art Deco fob pendant watch. Made 1920's. Watch is Swiss. Enamel could be Swiss/French/English. <P><P>
Measures 20mm in diameter. <P><P>
Round watch with loop for hanging from chain. ROund face with gilt center witih raised pattern. Marked SWISS under the numeral 6. The outer surface is all guilloche enamel in a pastel green. Handpainted with a soccer player in long blue socks, white shorts and blue shirt. He looks up at the ball, painted in red, flying accross the other side of the watch. The engine turned surface adds to a sense of movement and life. <P><P>
The clock is not in working order. The surface is in very good condition, with no dings/dents/losses of any sort.

ANTIQUE SWISS CLOCK FRENCH ENAMEL SILVER GEMS Antique hanging clock. Clock is Swiss set in silver with guilloche enamel and marcasites, probably French and dating to the late 19th / early 20th century. <P><P>
Measurements: diameter of clock alone is 1 7/8 inches. The mount is 4 inches long, excluding ribbon and bar with loop. Total length is approx 7 1/4 inches.<P><P>
Exquisitely made and finest, finest workmanship all round. Mount is silver with engine turned, pink guilloche enamel in patterns that seem to hover and dance as the light catches the surface. The bar that suspends the ribbon and rest of the piece is in matching silver and enamel. Both pieces are hallmarked on the back with 935 - above sterling standard of silver. <P><P>
The clock has a border in blue guilloche enamel, also engine turned, with a very fine pattern. It is set with applied numerals, all done in silver and marcasites. The hands of the clock are similarly set. The silver border of the clock has a tiny engraved SWISS. <P><P>
The parts of the clock are connected by a very pretty blue ribbon that might be a replacement of the original. <P><P>
Condition: very good. No damage of any sort found. The clocks works and keeps time.

LIBERTY & CO ARCHIBALD KNOX PEWTER CLOCK Antique clock in the Tudric pewter line designed by Archibald Knox and retailed by Liberty & Co., early 20th century. <P><P>
Measures approx 6 1/2 inches high.<P><P>
Rectangular, stepped base. Long, oblong shape with rounded top. Round face set in an extending brass frame. copper-orange coloured border with turquoise enamel circle covering most of the dial, typical of Archibald Knox designs. Good patina to the pewter. <P><P>
Black " ENGLAND " on the dial, on the bottom, under the VI. <br>
Underneath, the bottom of the clock has hand-engraved 2801, which might have been done by a previous owner. Under that are the marks for Liberty:a little S-shape, Made in England, TUDRIC PEWTER MADE BY LIBERTY & CO 01150. <P><P>
Condition: there is a minute chip on the glass that you cannot feel with your finger, so it is probably on the inside. I cannot see it with the naked eye/with my glasses (only with a magnifying glass). No dings/dents. The clock does NOT work.

ANTIQUE MINIATURE BRONZE SWISS CLOCK CHINOISE Antique / vintage 17 jewels miniature, gilt bronze, figural clock. The body is English, made by Bentima circa 1930's and the movement is Swiss. <P><P>
This is a true miniature clock, measuring just over 2 1/2 inches high and a little under 2 inches wide. <P><P>
4 ball feet support a rectangular casket shaped base. Above this is a domed, elongated body with a round face, engraved Roman numerals, calibrated down to the minute. On top is a winder. Next to the body of the clock is a chinoiserie figure of a Chinaman, sitting cross-legged, with a tall, pointy hat, ruffled collar and engraved detail to his clothing. <P><P>
A round opening at the back reveals the movement, which is very fine and in good, working order. It is engraved with Bentima STAR, SWISS, 17 JEWELS. <P><P>
Good, original condition.

ANTIQUE FRENCH MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK FIGUR Antique Rococo gilt bronze ormolu 8-day miniature carriage clock. Made in France circa 1900. <P><P>
Measures 2 1/2 inches tall not incuding the handle. THe handle reaches a height of just over 3 1/4 inches. <P><P>
Rectangular shape. Rococo style - very rich and ornate. Each corner has a gilt bronze caryatid - pillar in the form of a human. Base and border of top are richly moulded spirals and scrolls. Thick crystal / glass on top, with sloping bevelled sides, reveals part of the jewelled works. Each side has exquisite floral openwork. THe front has a reserve for the clock face. The back has a handle for a door that opens to expose part of the works and in order to wind the clock with the two keys, provided.
Clock is in good, working order.

FRENCH DELFT HANDPAINTED ANTIQUE SHELF CLOCK Antique handpainted Delft blue and white clock. Made France 19th century. <br>
Measures just over 16 inches high.<br>
Classic shape with elegant waist and deep curves, the sides arching around to form legs. The entire surface is beautifully handpainted in shades of blue with landscapes, waterscapes, people, insects, boats, windmills, mountains, flowers and foliage. Moulded scrolls around the border highlighted in deep blue. Even the back is richly painted. The enamel dial is very finely painted with blue numerals and delicate ornamentation and is surrounded by a golden coloured metal frame with repousse scrolls. The key, although not shown in the 'photos, is present. <br>
There is an artist signature under the clock - see 'photos. <br>
Good condition.
The clock works.

1780 FIGURAL FRENCH BRONZE WATCH STAND CHRONO Figural and mechanical French gilt bronze pocket watch stand, shown in Tardy's book on French clocks, dating to 1780.
13 3/4inches high.
Stands on 3 ornate legs. An openwork tour de force of relief sculpting: An owl perches above a scrolling shell over which the winged Greek god of time, Chrono, reclines, a long sword/sickle in one raised hand. Above him are various wonderful flowers, cherubs and a rooster, amidst foliage and scrolls. A lever moves a star shaped clasp back / forward to hold a round watch securely.
These watch stands are extremely rare and the only other one I have seen was regilded and the owner wouldn't dream of selling it.
The back-most leg has a small crack. The stick holding the scythe is a replacement, as is possibly the scythe itself. No other damage/losses. The gilding is original and in good condition considering it's age.

Signed Onyx Art NOUVEAU CLOCK women lovebird Signed French Art Nouveau sculpture and onyx mantel clock with figures of 2 women and lovebirds. Late 19th century.
Measurements: base is just under 14 1/2inches wide and 8 1/2inches high. Total height is 29inches.
Beautiful marbled onyx in a soft almost luminous green. Gilt metal scrolling foliate mounts and highlights. Porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals and handpainted floral swag. Delicate gilt metal hands. The name of the firm is worn. Onyx has age 'cracks', but they are only superficial and not damage of any sort.
Delicate metal grille covers the clock's movement at the back. See photos for details. The mechanism does work and chimes, but it needs a clean.
The spelter figures of 2 women with lovebirds embody everything Art Nouveau. Graceful, romantic and sensuous. Partly clad - their dresses seem to emphasize the bodies underneath - indeed 1 breast is entirely bare. Great detail to pretty smiling faces, muscles and feathers of birds. 2 of the birds were professionally reattached.
There is a small metal plaque in front with engraved RETOUR DES HIRONDELLES PAR ROUSSEAU.

MINIATURE CLOCK 18C INLAID MOP SHELL SILVER Miniature shell clock with inlaid mother of pearl and silver. Made 18th century, France. Original glass dome. Stands 5 1/2inches to top of dome. Excluding the wooden base, clock is 2 1/2inches high. Round mother of pearl face with MOP frame. Black Roman numerals. Tortoise rococco inlaid with fine silver, mother of pearl. Comes with original key.

Louis Philippe ormolu & Inlaid mantel clock Clock, from the period of Louis Philippe early 19th Century,following the style of Napoleon and known for extravagance, flamboyant curves, ornate decoration including bronze mounts and marquetry. Stands 21 1/4inch; high. Base 10 1/2inch; across and 5 3/4inch; deep. White enamel face, with one small chip, black Roman numerals. THe clock is mounted within a circle of gilt metal 1 1/4inches; wide (6inches; across). It depicts dragons/sea monsters within a swirl of waves and a woman's mask/head on top. The base consisits of a small stage/base on the main base. The small upper part is inlaid with simple geometric ribbons on the side, while the top is wonderfully inlaid with elaborate crowns, curls and flowers. The large, lower part (measures 10 1/2inch; across and 3inch; high) has a curved, gadrooned upper border and inlay of vases, flowers medallions and gulls. The base stands on 4 small rectangular feet. Above the clock is a frieze with inlay patterns to echo that on the base and gadrooning curving upwards and outwards to a curved pediment with inlaid vase & floral decoration etc. as before. The sides consist of 4 ebonized twisted pillars - each beginning and ending in a gilt metal base or pediment. The pendulum is a gilt metal flight of fancy - shaped like a stringed musical instrument with wings, tails, flowers, curves etc and a 6-pointed star in the middle. Condition:needs oil and adjustment (I took it to a specialist clockmaker). A few spots where the veneer is worn - fortunately, not in the front.
