Measure a little over 10 1/2 inches high.

Striking contrast between the deep brown bronze and the gilded areas. Shaped triangular bases above which are 3 beautifull defined dark brown paw feet with excellent detail such as the tiny nails. A smaller, but much more lavishly decorated triangle above them leads to a series of arches and a cup, the surface of which is also heavilly decorated with modelled foliage. Click for more detail...
3121
NOUVEAU BRONZE LAMP SIGNED LELEU PARIS SALON Bronze oil lamp with thistle theme modelled in relief. Made in France and artist signed Georges Leleu and Salon 1904. Classic Art Nouveau bronze relief.
Stands 13 1/2 inches high. Round base is just under 7 1/4 inches in diameter.
Superb modelling of thistles and thistle leaves sweep in typical Art Nouveau whiplashed waves around the base and then swoosh up the leg of the lamp, that curves and widens to echo the elegant curves below. Relief thistle leaves curve up the leg, ending in flowers near the shoulders. The top of the leg widens, almost like a mushroom and is similarly modelled with swooping waves and thistle flowers.
The lamp has impressed signature of G Leleu and Salon 1904 on the outside rim. Underneath are numerals 03 and possibly someone has signed a name under it (see 'photos).
The lamp has been converted to electricity and has original French switch and plug.
Condition is very good with wonderful patina.
For another example of Lelou's bronze lamps, see Duncan's book on Art Nouveau and Art Deco lighting.

2638
ANTIQUE CANDLESTICKS ROYAL SOLDIER DRUMMER Pair of antique Royal military figural candlesticks in the form a drummer and rifleman respectively. Made Germany, possibly by Herend.
Measure 12 1/2inches high each.
Each soldier stands on a white, antique-style pillar moulded and gilded to look Classic, with an N in a green wreath of laurels - possibly for Napoleon? The drummer marches forward as he beats a tatto; the rifleman strides forward. Both have large, German military moustaches and the features on their faces are very well modelled. Backpacks, epaulettes, garlanded hats also well modelled and subtlely coloured.
The candle would be placed in the hat of the soldier.
Underneath each pillar has a variety of embossed and engraved marks: A crown and shield within a laurel wreath, enclosed in a circle, very likely the mark of Herend. Incised letters and numbers.
Very good condition.

Click for more detail...
2617
ART DECO LAMP GLASS BRONZE BUTTERFLY LADY FIG Classic Art Deco lamp in smoky Lalique style moulded glass and exceptionally modelled butterfly woman in bronze and celluloid.
Measures 11 1/4inches high.
The base is like a layered Deco building with graded sizes, smaller as they go up. Shaped like a flower, with the petals carved into wonderful pyramidal and fanlike geometric shapes that lead the eye towards the figure perched on top.
The butterfly lady is wonderfully modelled so that while she is dressed and hooded, her clothes emphasize her form, both back and front. The clothes are in the form of a butterfly costume, finely detailed. The modelling and texture of the bronze have an almost buttery tactile look.
The lamp is in excellent, original condition. Very close scrutiny will reveal a tiny chip under the base, quite unnoticeable and the gilding of the bronze is naturally, very slightly worn on the legs.

2058
PR LAMPS EGERMANN BOHEMIAN RUBY CUT GLASS Pair of cut glass and metal lamps, made by Egermann, Bohemia, late 19th - early 20th century.
Measure 13inches high.
Deep ruby red cut to clear glass lamps. Round, conical shape with very deep miter cutting forming panels that contain stars and cross-hatching in a bottom ring, oval 'bubbles' in a middle ring and finally a starburst forming a point on the top. Exceptional colour and good quality workmanship. Egermann is called "the most famous name in Bohemian glass history" by the Truitts in their book on Bohemian glass, page 36.
The metal stands are somewhat French empire in style. Elegant columns above a round base with foliate patterning, echoed by the 3 arms in the form of beautifully modelled leaves and another bow and leaf pattern around the mounts.
The lamps are in their original condition - not regilded or altered in any way. There are no cracks/chips of any sort to the glass. The only minor problem is that one 'screw' on the back of one of the mounts is missing.
