Pair of Meissen pug dogs - mother and her pupp. Made in Germany by the Meissen factory, 19th century. <P><P> Measure approx 9 inches high. <P><P> Mother Pug turns around. Her pup peeps out from under her lifted paw. Detail of these animals is outstanding, right down to the individual hairs on their
face and the characteristic beauty spots on their cheeks, looking a little like little spiders and the nipples on the Mum's belly. Ripples and fine detail to
anatomy. <P><P> Marked underneath with Meissen blue crossed swords - no cancel marks. Impressed numbers 18577 &64K. <P><P> Very good condition. No chips/cracks/damage/restoration of any sort.

MEISSEN DESK SET- TRAY WITH TWO INKWELLS BLUE
Signed Meissen porcelain desk set, consisting of a fitted tray with two inkwells, in the Blue Onion pattern. Made in Germany. <br> Tray measures 9 1/2 inches long. <br> Tray has curly walled borders. Two modelled enclosures for holding the inkwells securely and preventing them from sliding. Round, somewhat pumpkin-shaped inwells somewhat concave on top with round lids in the center. The whole surface of the tray and inkwells is covered with the famous Blue Onion Pattern, in a particularly pretty version. Unusually, the front of the tray has the crossed swords incorporated into the pattern. <br> Besides the crossed swords on top of the tray, in the actual pattern (see 'photos), each piece has the Meissen blue crossed swords under the glaze. There is also a small mark in blue underglaze and impressed numerals. <br> Excellent condition.

MEISSEN BACHELOR COFFEE TEASET & TRAY W APPLI
Meissen 5-piece part coffee and tea set and tray with applied flowers. Made in Germany, 19th century. <P><P> Consists of tray: 13 1/4 inches. <br> coffee / hot water pot - approx 6 inches tall. <br> teapot - 4 inches to highest point.<br> milk jug / creamer - 3 1/2 inches high. <br> sugar bowl - 2 1/4 inches high and diameter is almost 2 3/4 inches, but about 3 1/2 inches accross including the applied flowers. <P> Oval tray with outstanding handpainted flowers. Colours are bright arrangement is quite joyful. Very fine detail. <br> Coffee / hot water pot with fitted, circular lid. Scrolling handle and curving spout with fluted pink shell detail, bordered and highlighted in gold. Back of handle has moulded, pink and gold scales. <br> Bullet shaped teapot with almost figural spout. Handle echoes handle on coffee pot. WHile black light shows nothing, we believe there might be some restorations to the spout of the teapot. <br> Milk jug / creamer stands on 3 legs shaped as green twigs. <br> Round sugar bowl is almost overburdened with the applied flowers, which are particularly wonderful on this piece.<P>
All pieces are very richly encrusted with applied flowers. Many chips to the applied flowers, which is typical of these pieces. Rims are gilded. All pieces except tray have wonderful tiny insects and butterflies painted between the flowers. <P> Each piece is marked with Meissen blue crossed swords.

Fabulous porcelain figural group depicting the mythological figures of Europa and the Bull with two handmaidens. Made by the Meissen factory in Germany, c
1880 -1920.<br><br> Measures approx 8 1/2 inches high and 8 1/2 inches accross. <br><br> Naturalistically formed and painted base with gilded scrolls, upon which are 3 figures draped on / around a bull wearing a thickly plaited garland of roses.
A basket of fruit at it's feet. The woman are mainly naked, with beautifully painted sheets of cloth draped around part of their bodies. Fine features and
detail to humans and bull, which is very sensitively modelled. <br><br> Marked underneath with blue crossed swords (no cancel marks). Impressed numerals and green letter E.<br><br> Generally very good condition. Negligible chips to some of the petals, but hands, feet and other parts of the figures in great shape.

MEISSEN FIGURINE BLACKAMOOR TURK W HORSE
Antique large Meissen figurine of a Blackamoor / Turk leading a prancing horse. Made Germany, 19th century but originally modelled by Kaendler in the 18th century and known as: Moor with Spanish white horse. <br> Measures approx 9 inches high and 8 inches front to back.<br> Roughly oval base with applied scattered flowers and foliage in various colours. A white horse rears up, held by the reigns by a turbanned blackamoor / Turk, wearing a blue robe, tied at the waist by a red sash that holds a long dagger. The man shows full concentration on the horse. The man strides forward, and the horse's head twists towards him in a wonderfully captured dramatic moment. Great detail from the facial features of man and horse to the purple cuffs and golden rim of the man's robe, which falls slightly open, adding to the sense of movement and energy. <br> Impressed marks: A.51.X and 101. Blue underglaze crossed swords with no cancel marks for 19th century. Iron red handwritten 26.<br> Good condition.

MEISSEN RECLINING MAN FIGURAL SALT W FLOWERS
19th century Meissen figural salt with applied and handpainted flowers. Measures 11 1/2inches
across and about 7 1/2inches high. Figure of a reclining gentleman in 18th century attire, originally modelled in the 18th century,
holding a large, curving bowl with handpainted flowers on it's inside and applied flowers on the
outside. Pink and green Rococo base with rich gold highlights. Fabulous modelling and elegant form of man. The handpainted clothes are outstanding - flowers on
a lilac jacket with yellow lining and gold buttons and trim. Very beautiful features. Finest
detail to modelling and painting.
Condition is good.Original Meissen 19th century mark with cancellation marks for no clear reason.

MINIATURE MEISSEN BIBLE DOVE W TWIG 1924-30
Miniature Meissen figurine of a dove holding a twig in it's beak. Germany, 1924-30. Measures 2 1/8inches tall. Beautiful white dove, winges outstretched, standing on a moulded grassy base, with twig in it's beak. Marked underneath with clear crossed sword mark with dot (Pfeiffer-mark) 1924-30. Condition is very good. Only under magnification can you see that the end of the twig has some roughage (not visible with the naked eye).

MEISSEN MINIATURE LADLE HP FLOWERS 19C MINT 1
Meissen miniature ladle, made Germany 19th century. Measures just under 4inches long. Shell shaped, scalloped bowl with fluted rim and folded surface. Wavy fluted handle widens towards the rococco end. Raised gilding in very fine detail. Beautifully handpainted flowers cover the bowl and handle, both front and back. Meissen blue crossed swords on the back of the bowl. MINT condition. No cancel marks. One of two miniature ladles and another larger ladle by Meissen.

Meissen scoop / ladle, Germany 19th century. Measures 8 5/8inches long. Deep oval bowl with moulded leaves, highlighted in gold on the back, joined to a curving handle in the form of a branch, ending in a twisted, gilded bunch of twigs. Handpainted flowers scattered around the bowl. Underglaze blue crossed swords. Good condition - no damage / losses visible. Black light shows 2 negligible restored spots.

ROYAL VIENNA HP MUG W CHERUBS 19TH CENTURY
A Royal Vienna handpainted mug. Austria, 19th century. Measures 3 3/8 inches high. The mug is divided into 2 wide and two narrower panels, seperated by gold scrolling patterns and stencil work. The panel on which the handle is attached and the one opposite it have an orange backgrounds on which bright summer flowers are painted. The alternating panels are handpainted with cherubs in woodland scenes. Gilded handle. Underneath the mug has a blue underglaze beehive mark. Condition is good with acceptable wear to the gilding on the rims and handle, but no damage/chips/cracks or loss of paint.

MEISSEN PORCELAIN SHOE SLIPPER 19C MINT PINK
Meissen porcelain shoe / slipper 19th century. Measures 6 1/4inches long. Rare pink colour. Form of a slipper , crushed by the heel and folding over. The front has a reserve filled with handpainted bright flowers, beautifully executed. Reserve is bordered by gold scrolls. Edges of the shoe have a delicate gilt stencilled border with a rich gold rim. Marked underneath with underglaze blue crossed sword for 19th century. No cancel marks. Condition is mint. No damage / losses of any sort.

19th century Meissen Motto child or cherub, modelled by Acier in the 18th century. 5 1/2 inches high. Stands on triangular base with canted corners - each with gilded, moulded flowers. A pink lable TELES BALANCE enclosed in gold margin, names the piece. Naked winged cherub, pale blue cloth and quiver of arrows suspended from a gold band. He leans against a small tree stump behind him. Early, blue crossed sword marks and impressed F.Z and 48. First class (no cancel marks). No damage of any sort to be found, although the heart that should be in his hand is missing. One of 3 Acier figures currently being sold.
