Superbly enamelled 6 pairs of cups and saucers, made by Crown Ducal, England, early 20th century.
Saucer is 5 7/8inch in diam. Cup is 2 1/4inches high and 3 3/4inches in diam on the top.
Magnificent hand enamelled tulip & freesia decoration on a pale yellow ground. Borders are in mustard yellow, blue and red. Mustard yellow enamelling is used on the rims of all pieces.
Each piece is marked CROWN DUCAL WARE ENGLAND (not Made in England) and has various marks, presumably of the enameller, painter and modeller.
Very good condition. One cup has a fleabite chip on the rim - easilly restored..<P>
Part of a dinner and tea service that we have divided into seperate groups because of disparate numbers eg teapot, sugar, creamer, plates, servers, extras. All available separately. |
