Wonderful Victorian round lithopane depicting 2 little girls in a garden of sunflowers. Set in a gold net metal frame in the form of a flower.
Lithopane Measures 3inches in diameter. The frame is 8 1/4inches high.
Fabulous scene of children walking under a sunflower shaped parasol in a garden with sunflowers peeping over a picket fence.
Great detail and exceptionally cute and charming. The frame is also exceptional - made in the form of a flower, of netted metal, gathered into frills in two layers, scalloped into petals and with beautifully detailed, moulded leaves.
Incised with PR in a balloon mark and 1606 on the back. |
