Exquisite micro beading to this purse made over 100 years ago, probably in France. Tiny beads, arranged to depict a wonderful assortment of flowers: roses, pansies, marigolds and Morning Glory in a broad central panel on a ground of iridescent pearly silver beads,
surrounded by two panels of autumn brown background with scrolling vineleaves on either side. Fringe of twisted turquoise beads. Quality of the workmanship is superb. Pattern is repeated on both sides. Measures 7 1/2inches long (including fringe) and 5 3/4inches wide. Missing lining and clasp, but otherwise very good condition. |
