Rossler amethyst glass vase with richly enamelled figure of Punchinello. Made Bohemia, 19th
century.
5 1/2inches high.
Frilly edged amethyst glass vase. Tubular body widening at the bottom. Decorated with the
extremely rich unmistakable enamelling of Rossler against a gold outlined background. A garland
of enamel flowers underneath the figure is quite unusual. The figure wearing pantaloons of a
turquoise blue, pink fringed vest of deep blue with a red shirt and white ruffled collar. A high
hat on his head. Pink humpback. Red pompoms on his slippers. A dark stick held behind his back.
Great detail.
Excellent condition - no damage of any sort. |
