Vintage Retro Judaica - pair of patinated bronze (possibly brass) bookends, made in Israel by DAYAG, about the 3rd quarter of the 20th century. <br><br>
Measure approx 5 inches high.
Each bookend has a gold-coloured side, tapering slightly towards the top, as does the generally rectangular shape. The front of each bookend has a marbled, malachite looking patina, in mottled green/turquoise. Each one has an applied gold-coloured metal figure of a Cohen or Priest dressed in ancient attire, blowing on the Ram's Horn / Shofar.
Inside of each piece has embossed mark DAYAG MADE IN ISRAEL.
