Antique centerpiece table lamp made of gilt metal and multi-coloured Bohemian glass shaped like a basket of fruit. Made in Czechoslovakia - then part of the Hapsburg / Austrian Empire, circa 1920's.

TOtal width is approx 14 1/4 inches. Height is 5 1/2 inches. <P><P>
Lamp in 2 parts: Base shaped as a 2-handled basket. Parallel openwork elongated ovals with dedallions in wreaths of foliage both front and back. A switch near one arching handle.
The top consists of a copper rimmed oval and wire net on which the fruit is attached. Glass fruit - shaped beads - red, blue and green grapes, various kinds of berries and a small apple and pear.
Light glows through the glass when the lamp is switched on. <P><P>
The Oval rim is engraved MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA.
