Victorian gold and black enamel mourning earrings set with seed pearls. Probably made in England or France, 19th century.

Weigh approx 4 grams. Length, excluding the dangle and the loop is 3/4 inch.

Earrings close upwards in the old French style. Consist of an oval plateau with concentric gold and black enamel oval rings. The central black section is finely engraved with a tiny gold flower, a seed pearl at it's center. A small gold pointed drop dangles from the bottom of each earring.

Earrings are not marked, but we tested for both 10 & 14 carat and the gold stayed, so that would be minimum quality of gold.

Good condition especially enamel, which is not worn or damaged, as is normally the case.

|
