Antique ring with old cut diamonds and an emerald set in 15k gold and silver. Dates to early 19th century.

US size 6 1/4. The ring measures 11/16 inch accross the widest part of the band and 5/16inch accross the flower on top.

Flower form ring. The top part of the setting is silver, while the band is gold. A raised, central emerald with flat top and faceted on the sides, surrounded by a ring of very crudely cut diamonds. Each stone is set in a well with a crenelated stop. Back of each stone is almost entirely enclosed, which was typical of the Georgian period.
The band, made of 15k gold begins on either side with a very pretty and well-made seashell followed by 3 half globes in gold.

The outside of the band is hallmarked as follows: 800; an E above what looks like a Viking boat on the water; 585; ZII (like a Greek or Russian letter); DA+.

Good condition. |
