Signed antique teapot with blue and white Chinoiserie decoration, made by Worcester, England, circa 1770-1790 - Dr Wall period.

Approx 5 1/4 inches high.

Bullet shaped teapot with flower on a stem finial and moulded foliage on the lid. Blue and white decoration highly reminiscent of the famous Blue Willow
Pattern, with two fluttering doves, pagodas and beautiful chrysanthemums and stylised gardens. Beautiful rich cobalt blue on white.

Marked with cresent underglaze mark underneath.

Condition is very good, original: a small kiln crack (original to the piece) directly at the join of the handle, a tiny chip on the rim of the lid and
roughness inside the flower finial, all shown very clearly in the 'photos. |
