Antique Murano / Venetian perfume bottle made of extraordinary iridescent glass. Made Venice, Italy late 19th - early 20th century. <P><P>
Measures a little over 2 3/4 inches long, excluding the chain and finger ring. <P><P>
Egg shaped bottle. The colours are exceptional - light blue and silver on black. Whether done with real silver or foil, the effect is stunning - looks like a galaxy of the universe. The neck is joined by a hinge to the cap, all metal is brass with fine repousse patterning. On either side of the neck are loops to hold a beaded chain which connects to a finger ring made of twisted brass. Stopper lacking. No marks. Very good condition. |
