Antique Victorian carved coral ring set in a 14 carat gold Art Nouveau setting. 1890-1900.

Measurements: US size 4 - can be resized. Weighs 3 - 4 grams.

Long oval carved pink-red coral (between 1/2 and 3/4 inch long) sculpted to represent a woman's head in profile. Great detail to hair and ringlets falling over her ears also date her to late 19th century. The coral is set in a wonderful openwork floral and foliate Art Nouveau setting with minute detail such as the tiny veins and markings on the leaves. Scrolls and subject matter place the ring firmly in the Art Nouveau era.

Inside a partially worn hallmark still legible as 14K.

Good condition. |
