Antique porcelain jewellery dresser or trinket box, made in Paris, France 19th century. <P><P>
Measures 8 1/4 inches long. Total height is approx 3 1/4 inches. <P><P>
Rectangular lidded box. Lid extends over side of the box. ROunded corners and slight dome of lid with rectangular finial with moulded foliage joining it to lid. The
entire outer surface is handpainted with pink roses, blue ribbons and delicate gold scrolls and foliage. The pattern is very typical of old Sevres porcelain. The
inside has two shaped porcelain partitions which divide the box into sectioins for holding different items. <P><P>
The only marks seem to be an impressed 2 and impressed 111. <P><P>
Good condition with no chips/cracks/damage/restoration. There is minor gilt loss commensurate with age. |
