Manufacturer: ANTIQUE SUFFRAGIST ENAMEL GOLD BAR PIN PANSY
Antique, Victorian/Edwardian Suffragist bar pin in enamel on 10-12k gold. Made late 19th to first decade of 20th century.

Measures 2 inches long. Weighs 3.3grams.

Long, rectangular with rounded ends. The surface is beautifully enamelled with flowers. A pansy in the center, often used as a Suffragist symbol because of the colours (violet and white). In this case a little more pink, but the symbol remains. Beautiful blue and white tubular morning glory flowers border the pansy, with foliage on the sides (providing the green for G).

Very fine workmanship. THe colours are an exceptionally delicate range of hues and very sensitively depicted, which must have taken an excellent craftsman to produce in enamel.

Good condition. No damage/loss. |
