Manufacturer: VICTORIAN ETRUSCAN REVIVAL 18K GOLD TURQUOISE EARRINGS Antique, Victorian Etruscan Revival 18carat gold and turquoise earrings. Made circa 1860-1880. <P><P> Approx 1 1/8 inches long, excluding the loops. Weigh 8.2 grams. <P><P> Loops suspend a golden globe which holds a cone, ending in a round half-globe. The shoulders of the globe have a band of gold granules, gradated in size, beneath
which is a ring of cabochon turquoise and raised filigree border. WIthin the half-globe is a circle, very full and round on the bottom and with a band of granules
and cabochon turquoise around the waist.

The turquoise gems are surrounded by filigree horseshoe-shapes, as are the stones on the upper ring. The bottom ball
swivels, as does the cone. The design and manufacture are extremely sophisticated and exhibit the highest quality technique and craftsmanship. Absolutely fabulous
quality. <P><P> No hallmarks, but test for 18k. <P><P> Very good condition. |
