Antique, Victorian micromosaic earrings. Made circa 1870-80.<P><P>
Measure just over 1 1/2 inches (40mm) long, not including the loops. <P><P>
Elongated diamond or kite shape. Borders are a geometric blue and white pattern. Ground is blue. The earrings depict a pair of doves nestling amongst foliage. Gilt metal forms part of the branches. The mount is silver coloured metal.<P><P>
As the highly enlarged 'photos show, the earrings are in very good condition with no missing tesserae. |
